Q:What are our masks and puppets made of?
A: We use a variety of professional materials and each puppet and mask has been designed specifically with rentals in mind. This means that they are built to be durable but still light weight and comfortable to use. The Lion king masks, for instance, are made of an extremely light weight plastic resin material and coated in a thin, strong rubber sealer to protect the detail. Our team has over 10 years experience creating props, puppets and masks for the film and theatre industry, and we guarantee you won't find a match to our quality of work anywhere else.
Please keep in mind, it takes 60 to 100 hrs of man hours to construct each of these items, so we asks that you treat all of them with the utmost respect!
Q: What is your payment policy?
A: Due to the high demand for all our current rental items, we do require a full, non-refundable rental payment up-front to secure the rental for all bookings
Q: Our budget is based on ticket sales, or we need time to have the budget approved. Can you hold the items for us?
A: Due to the high demand for all our current rental items, we cannot reserve items without a full rental payment to secure your rental dates.Rentals will be booked on a first come, first serve basis.
Q: How does the rental pricing work?
A: The pricing is calculated based on the total cost of constructing the puppet or mask, including labor and maintenance costs.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: Based on the high volume of immediate rentals and busy shipping schedule, we have a strict, no refund policy. Cancellations due to Force majeure or other events outside of both parties consent will be considered on a case by case basis.
Q: What is your shipping policy?
A: We currently ship to anywhere across North America. Due to both the size and intricacy of the items, we do prefer standard ground shipping. Each rental is booked with a 5 to 8 day travel period before and after. This is also the most economic choice for our customers. The Odd-Lot Puppetry Co will not be held responsible for delays dues to shipping or customs.
Q: You require a credit card number for potential damages, how does that work?
A: Our request for a credit card number is strictly a precautionary measure in case of major damage, and no charges will be applied without the customer being contacted first. We collect the information prior to shipping your rental, run a quick test to validate that it is an active credit card (NOTE: this is NOT a credit check) and then hold the number in our records until the items have been returned. After the items have been returned and inspected, we will properly destroy and dispose of your credit card information.
Q: One of the items arrived damaged! What do I do and will I be charged?
A: We ask that if any of the rental puppets or mask arrive damaged or get damaged throughout your run, that you contact us immediately and provide us with photos and a detailed description of the damage. We can quickly assess the damage and find a solution, either by shipping you a replacement or discussing repair options. Under no circumstances should you attempt to repair the items yourself without prior consent from The Odd-Lot Puppetry Co. Contact us immediately by phone or email and we can discuss the issue. Damage charges may apply, but not until we have properly assessed the item and the situation. All items are to be shipped insured, and damage that occurs during shipping will not be the responsibility of the customer as long as they have properly followed the shipping and packing instructions.
